Join this eight-day TUI Tour to discover the Sorrentine Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast through its history and flavors. Immerse yourself into an archaeological journey through the ancient cities of Pompeii and Ercolano. Discover Sorrento, a city with a colourful historical centre and a beautiful waterfront filled with bobbing fishing boats, and learn about the mozzarella and Limoncello history and making processes. Sail to the rocky island of Capri, and wander around its tiny pedestrian alleys.

Amalfi Coast: one of Italy’s most memorable destinations: an extremely unique scenery designed by bays, inlets, cliffs and small villages engrafted onto the mountain.
Sorrento: a lively and enchanting town with Greek origins and a mix of architectural styles, its long history can be found today in the monuments, churches, villas, food left as a heritage.
Pompeii: known as ‘the buried city,’ one of the most significant proofs of Roman civilization and, like an open book, provides outstanding information on the art, customs, trades and everyday life of the past.
Capri: with a unique mythical charm, as well as its natural beauty, it has been an inspiration to poets, lovers and travellers throughout the centuries.
Ercolano: known as one of the few ancient cities that can now be seen in much of its original splendour, as well as for having been lost, in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 that buried it.

What do I need to bring?
Comfortable shoes are the most suitable for travelling in Italy. During the evening, the temperature tends to decrease, a cardigan is recommended. Sun cream, sunglasses can be very useful during your stay.

Day 1 : ARRIVAL NAPLES – SORRENTO (52km – 1hr)
Upon landing at Naples International Airport, make your way to the arrivals hall where a representative will meet you. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in before spending the rest of this first day at leisure. In the evening, wrap the day up with dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 : SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO (30 min Hydrofoil)
Wake up to an early breakfast at the hotel, and hop on the bus to the port of Massa, to board on the private boat that will take the group for a Capri sightseeing tour. Upon arrival to the town of Capri, you will spend some time exploring this enchanting part of the island, walking and breathing the special atmosphere along the tiny pedestrian alleys. The famous Piazzetta, the beautiful Augustus Gardens, the narrow winding streets with delightful small shops and the fantastic view of the Faraglioni, the imposing rock formations rising from the blue Mediterranean water, definitely one of Capri’s best-known landmarks. Around midday, free time for lunch (not included). Early afternoon, back to the Port and return to Sorrento, with a fantastic tour of the Blue Island by the sea. In the evening, finish the day with dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 : SORRENTO
Wake up to breakfast at the hotel, before departure for an exciting day, tasting some of the greatest products in the area. This morning enjoy a private mozzarella making demonstration at ‘La Sorgente’, a family-run farm from three generations. Marciano’s family will welcome you to their estate where lemons, oranges, mandarins, olives grapes grow. The family members will show you how the famous mozzarella cheese is produced by hand. Also, you can taste different products such as mozzarella, spiced ricotta cheese and homemade bread. After mozzarella demonstration, lunch will be served with all local products and wine (included). After lunch you’ll be transferred to Sorrento to enjoy a Limoncello tasting at ‘I Giardini di Cataldo’, where the owners will show their lemon garden and how they produce the famous Limoncello liquor, from the peeling to the bottling. The visit will end with a tasting of the Limoncello liquor and each participant will receive a small bottle of Limoncello, filled with his hands. Return in the afternoon, before ending the day with dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 : SORRENTO – ERCOLANO – POMPEII – SORRENTO (90km – 2 hrs)
Charge your batteries with breakfast at the hotel before departing to Ercolano. Visit of the archeological site with your guide. Located in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, Ercolano was an ancient Roman town destroyed by volcanic pyroclastic flows in 79 AD. Around midday, free time for lunch (not included). Shortly after, you will proceed to Pompeii, where you will join the guide to discover the most significant archaeological site of Naples Bay, buried under lava and ash form Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and lay forgotten for hundreds of years. Enjoy a walking tour of Pompeii that includes the visit of interiors of the homes, ancient streets, the Amphitheatre, the ancient Forum. Return in the afternoon, for a well-deserved rest and tasty dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 : SORRENTO
After breakfast at the hotel, prepare to experience a full day of free time for you to spend discovering the popular and attractive town of Sorrento at your pace. In the evening, dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 6 : SORRENTO – AMALFI COAST (70km – 2,5hrs)
Your breakfast at the hotel is followed by a day travelling along one of the most intriguing coastline in the World. You will stop on the route for a panoramic view of Positano from above. Around midday, free time for lunch (not included) and then continue to the top of the mountains to Ravello, situated at 1100 feet above the sea level, the views of the coast below are for sure the most breath-taking scenery. The town of Ravello is the best place where to leave the crowds and where to enjoy the quiet of a village, where most of the historical centre is still untamed, and still recalling the magnificence of the grand private residences. Late afternoon, return to Sorrento. In the evening, finish the day with dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 : SORRENTO
Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure exploring Sorrento, be that lazing on the beach or exploring the many interesting artisan shops that line the city centre’s streets. In the evening, wrap the day up with dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 : SORRENTO – DEPARTURE NAPLES (52km – 1hr)
After one last breakfast at your hotel, bid farewell to Naples as you hop onto a comfortable transfer to Naples International Airport, where you will catch your flight to your following destination. We hope the memories of this trip will stay with you for a lifetime.
