We departure form our hotels to embark and start a boat ride on the Black River, during which we will have a panoramic view of the floating harbor, regional rooms and the municipal market, a beautiful building of the nineteenth century Art Nouveau style

We arrive at the most interesting point of our tour, where the Black River meets with the Solimões River, which join to form the Amazon River. It is particularly striking because you can clearly see the union of Black River, of almost black color waters, with the Solimões River, of clearer waters. For 6 km the waters of both rivers run side by side without mixing, this is caused by differences in temperature, speed and water density of the two rivers.

After enjoying this fascinating phenomenon, the boat ride continues through the Black River until the January ecological park, where you can see the famous aquatic plants and acquire indigenous crafts. We will stop for lunch at the floating harbor followed by a motorized canoe ride through various channels (Igarapés) of the Black River and the Solimões River (depending on the level of the waters).

We will get back to our hotels through the jungle, where we can see several types of birds in the lush Amazon rainforest.
