Breakfast at the hotel is followed by an early pick-up from your hotel reception at 8:00 in the morning. Your driver will then take you away from Marrakech up into the glorious Atlas Mountains to the city of Ouarzazate. To get there, you will cross the stunning Tizi n’Tichka pass, a number of quaint Berber villages, an ancient Kasbah and many a colourful view of the mountains and valleys below. You’ll have free time for lunch in the town of Ait Ben Haddou (not included) before continuing on your way to Ouarzazate, where you’ll check in to your hotel to spend the night.
- Overnight in Ouarzazate
Day 3 : OUARZAZATE – TINFOU DUNES (195 kms – 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast in the hotel, it’s time to go on an orientation tour of Ouarzazate. Visit this fascinating city’s art museum and cinema studio. Then continue with a visit to a magnificent Kasbah. Then your drive will take you along the caravan road until you make it to the nearby village of Agdez. Later on, marvel at the vast palm groves and palm dates that line the shores of the Draa River. Eventually, you’ll arrive in the Draa Valley, a lush oasis dotted with Berber villages and Kasbahs. Drive on until Zagora. Along the way, make a stop at another village, the town of Tamgroute, which has a famous Koranic school and one of the oldest Islamic libraries in the world. After a few more kilometres, you’ll see the golden dunes of Tinfou pour over the horizon. There you’ll make yourself at home in a bivouac to enjoy an unforgettable evening with your Berber camp team.

Day 4 : TINFOU DUNES –TAROUDANT (430 kms – 6 hrs)
Today you’ll be woken up at 5:00 in the morning – and for good reason! Climb to the top of a sand dune in the dark and then wait there to contemplate the desert sunrise. With that glorious vision still fresh in the back of your mind, return to camp for breakfast. Then hit the road and head on to Taroudant, crossing various little oases on the way, as well as a handful of towns, including Foum Zguid, Tisslt and Taliouine (the number one producer of saffron), Aoulouz, Oulad Berhil and, eventually, Taroudant. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and spend the night.
- Overnight in Taroudant
Day 5 : TAROUDANT –AGADIR (90 kms – 1.5 hr)
After recharging your batteries with breakfast at the hotel, head out on a tour of Taroudant. This town, also known as ‘Mini Marrakech’, is a nice little 16th-century dwelling surrounded by big thick walls. It is said that in the late afternoon and early evening, the walls’ colours change with the position of the sun. Wander around the typical souks, where you can find local handcrafts, such as Argan oil produced by traditional methods in women’s cooperatives. This product is part of a Solidarity Project, usually employing women who are single or widows. You’ll continue then towards Agadir, passing through the Sousse Valley and Ait Melloul. Arrive to the hotel at about 16:00. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight in Agadir
Day 6 : DEPARTURE AGADIR
