After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up at 9:00 in the morning for a 4-hour tour of the city. Your first stop is Victoria Peak, the highest mountain on the island, from where you can admire spectacular views of the city’s iconic skyscrapers. Then, continue to the fishing village of Aberdeen, home to hundreds of people who live on fishing junks, a lifestyle that stands in stark contrast with the modern high-rises that fill the horizon. Take a sampan ride to get a close-up look at this unusual way of life. Then you can board one of the two floating restaurants – including Jumbo, the world’s largest – for a seafood meal (lunch not included). Next stop is Repulse Bay, one of the most expensive residential areas in the world. This wide beach is popular among residents and great for strolls along the sand. The Life-Guard Club, built in a traditional Chinese style, features statues of Kwun Yum and Tim Hau, two well-known protectors of fishermen. After admiring the beautiful colonial-style architecture and luxurious buildings, you’ll be transferred back to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at leisure or to join an optional half-day Kowloon Tour (4 hours), which includes visits to the Wong Tai Sim Temple, Temple Street, and the bird and flower markets.

Of course, if you feel like relaxing at the hotel and enjoying a more leisurely kind of day taking advantage of the available services, you can also do just that. Alternately, you can join an optional day tour to Macau (10 hours). This includes a transfer to the bus terminal, where you’ll hop onto a coach that will drive you from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and the Macau Bridge.
